Paul Viggiano has been the pastor of theBranch of Hope OPC for sixteen years. Prior to that he was a youth pastor for St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (USA) and before that on staff with Athletes in Action-the athletic outreach of Campus Crusade for Christ.
Paul has a Master’s in Apologetics from Biola University, has college and high school teaching credentials, and has attended Talbot Seminary, King’s College Seminary, Bahnsen Theological Seminary, Westminster Seminary and Fuller Seminary.
Branch of Hope’s membership in the OPC is a recent enterprise-about three years. This was the result of years of growth and refinement in the life of Paul and the elders of this church. Their studies led them down a road away from the theology of Foursquare denomination, which was the mother denomination of the Branch of Hope, into orthodox Protestant, Biblical Christianity. This, very slow and gentle, journey has been a blessing to Paul, the elders and the entire church.
Paul has lived in the South Bay Area his entire life and was recently inducted into the El Camino College Hall of Fame for athletics and community service. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three children, Gabriella (9), Paul Jr. (6) and Sophia (5) and one due in April.
